West Midlands Local Transport Plan (2011 - 2026)
'Making the Connections'
Background
The West Midlands Local Transport Plan 2011 - 2026 (LTP) is a statutory document which looks at the transport needs of the Metropolitan Area and sets out a way forward to deliver those needs through short, medium and long term transport solutions.
The LTP sets out how our transport network can play its part in the transformation of the West Midlands economy. It demonstrates how this will bring real benefits to people through its contribution to economic revival, creation of jobs, improved accessibility, improved local and national connections by road and rail and better quality of life.
An LTP Summary is also available.
In addition, an Integrated Sustainability Appraisal (ISA) has been undertaken. This is required in respect of Strategic Environmental Appraisal, Habitats and Equalities Regulations. To align this Appraisal more closely with the five Objectives, it has been broadened out to take a more integrated approach, including Health and Economic Impacts.
A statement of how Centro has taken into account the ISA and comments made on regulatory assessments in preparation of the final LTP will be made available to download and view, following finalisation of LTP targets in the first quarter of 2011/12. Further information on the regulatory assessments is available at www.westmidlandsltp.gov.uk/ltp3-regulatory-assessments/.
A statement of how Centro has taken into account consultation responses in preparation of the final LTP is available to download and view.
