Sustainable Travel Officer (Education and Community)

36.50 hours per week

£25,406 - £29,719

You will develop, promote and implement sustainable travel projects, including school, college, university and community travel plans, which promote the use of public transport, walking, cycling and car-sharing in order to meet Centro and LSTF targets.

You will support the delivery of the West Midlands Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) Education & Skills Workstream through effective engagement with educational establishments, the LSTF Project Team, LSTF Suppliers and District partners. You will also develop and implement Centro's Young Person's Delivery Plan (including our award winning Letzgogreen initiative) in order to create a future generation of sustainable travel users.

You will also support the delivery of Personalised Travel Planning projects to local residents and communities.

Demonstrable knowledge of sustainable travel issues is essential, with direct experience of the delivery of Smarter Choices projects (including working with young people, schools, Colleges or Universities) a definite advantage. You will be a self starter with excellent communication and partnership working skills. You must be willing to undertake an enhanced CRB check.
