Midland Metro Wednesbury to Brierley Hill runs through the heart of the Black Country linking Wednesbury, Great Bridge, Dudley, Merry Hill and Brierley Hill serving existing and proposed residential, retail and leisure areas.
Providing a vital transport link through the heart of the regeneration area Metro will offer a step change in the quality and accessibility of public transport. All stops and trams will be fully accessible and the modern vehicles will be able to carry over 200 people. Modern trams will enhance the image of the region aiding inward investment and regeneration.
This route also benefits from integration with the bus and rail network at many locations along the way helping to open up the employment market. Provision of park and ride facilities at some stops will also attract motorists out of their cars onto Metro for their journey.
